It’s the September yacht show season again in the South of France, and Palmawatch have picked up a few items of interest with some nice photos to share with you here.

Couach Project 3707 revealed at Cannes Yacht Show.

French custom superyacht builder Couach Yachts announced at Cannes Yachting Festival 2017 that construction is well underway on the seventh unit of its elegant and timeless 37-metre flybridge, under the project name 3707.

“The 3700 Couach combines performance and comfort with total elegance. This yacht is a perfect example of Couach’s renowned hull form that has superb seafaring capabilities in even the most difficult weather conditions. Our expert Couach teams have ensured that guests will benefit from outstanding performance at all levels, in comfort and luxury,” said Walter Ceglia, President and CEO of Couach.

Designed entirely in-house by Couach’s experienced team, the 3707 has an overall length of 37.0 metres and a hull length of 35.0 metres, with a full displacement of 157 tonnes and a beam of 7.3 metres at its widest point. The tender garage has space for a five-metre tender and jet-ski.

Tankoa’s management team worked in close collaboration with Francesco Paszkowski to design the project and fulfil the following set goals:

* Achieve a perfectly balanced, fluid and timeless design that will not look like what is currently offered on the market.

* Offer perfect circulation flows for owners and guests, providing them with the possibility to move from deck to deck and from inside to outside area without interfering with the working crew, while at the same time giving the crew total freedom of movement to carry on with their tasks.

* Provide a 499 gross ton package for the Owner with amenities and features commonly found on much larger yachts.

Mazu Yachts double debut at Monaco Yacht Show.

Two superyacht tenders on display at Quai Jarlan in the new Tenders Area!

Mazu 38 Open

The all-new Mazu 38 open impresses with her dynamic design and unparalleled interior and exterior space ampleness and comfort. This unit has an open plan layout with dining space “al-fresco” in the aft deck, an en-suite bathroom with separate full standing shower.

The hull colors are customizable and the owner is free to choose from a variety of luxurious fabrics and finishes to use for the interiors.

To maximize guests comfort, the boat has two galleys with Gaggenau appliances both inside and outside, equipped with cooker, grill, microwave and oven, along with sink, fridge, deep freezer and ample storage for crockery and provisions. A bimini, aft deck shower and swim platform with a retractable swim ladder on the transom, provide added cruising benefits.

The hand laid carbon Mazu 38 hull provides extra strength and lightness to the boat. When equipped with Volvo IPS 400 the top speed reaches 36 knots, and with more powerful Volvo IPS 600, the Mazu 38 can run at up to 45 knots.

Mazu 42 Walk-Around

The largest Mazu’s model to be shown, the new 42 walk-around, which was delivered early August 2017, has an overall length of 11.99 meters and a maximum beam of 3.7 meters.

The center console, perfectly protected by a real modern superstructure, leaves room for two ample lateral walk-arounds. The yacht has a freeboard that is high enough to allow safe movement on deck even while at sea, in combination with a sportive profile and some military twist overtones.

On-deck comfort is assured by the ample sun bathing area near the stern, while forward the cockpit is complete with a V-shaped settee and a second settee forward of the console. The size of the aft platform has allowed the yard to create a true seaside terrace, ideal not only while at anchor but also when moored to the jetty, facilitating coming aboard and going ashore. The presence of a mobile kitchen with Gaggenau appliances ensures leisurely and pleasurable times when at anchor.

Two 435 hp Volvo Penta IPS 600’s give the Mazu 42 walk-around a top speed of 47 knots, with a cruising speed of 32 knots.
